Welcome to our flower garden.

This is our first year experimenting with a flower market garden, and so far, it’s going really well. We’ve discovered that people are very interested in locally grown flowers—and we can certainly understand why.

What’s especially exciting about these flowers is that they’re pesticide-free and sustainably grown, right here at the ranch.

And I have to be honest—I can’t take credit for all this beauty!

We have our flower gardener, Barb, who is exploring flowers as a potential enterprise here at Boreal Ranch.

One of the things we love about this idea is that it leverages so much of what we already have in place for our vegetable garden—the soil, irrigation, equipment and growing systems.

This winter, Barb and I are going to sit down, look at the numbers, and see whether flowers could become a viable enterprise for the ranch.

For now, though, we're just enjoying the view.

Easy on the eyes, beautiful to look at—and hopefully, the beginning of something pretty special.
