Welcome to Boreal Ranch.
Take a look around you.
Five years ago, standing right here, you would have been looking at an open field.
Today, you’re standing in the middle of a working ranch—with gardens, animals, a greenhouse, a hoop house, and a whole lot of dreams taking shape.
But our story started long before this.
In 1996, Megan and Rob met just a short walk from where the ranch stands today. Over the years, we built a family, lived on a small acreage, and developed our love of gardening, preserving, foraging, cooking, entertaining and raising animals.
Then the pandemic changed everything.
We moved permanently to the cabin, bought this 100-acre property, and decided it was time to stop putting our passions on the back burner.
And the more we learned about food, the more convinced we became that our belief in food as a solution to disease and poor health was stronger than ever.
Our vision is to create a thriving, diverse ecosystem where plants, animals and people can flourish together—and where we can grow high-quality Manitoba food and create meaningful experiences in harmony with nature.
What you see today is just the beginning.
We’re still learning. We’re still experimenting. And we still have a lot of work ahead of us.
But this is our journey—and we'd love for you to experience it with us.
