Chicken tractors are complete!

And with time to boot!!! We will be bringing home 40 broiler chicks the 3rd week of April. We decided to try raising 2 varieties (1 tractor for each variety):

1) Cornish which are the standard meat bird, tasty and bred for their ability to put on weight quickly.

2) Grazers which are slower growing, flavorful birds with foraging skills that make them suited for being raised on pasture.

But this won’t be their first home…..more details in our next post!
